NBP607-TIV (SKYCellflu) is a trivalent, cell culture-derived inactivated subunit influenza vaccine developed by SK Bioscience (a subsidiary of SK Chemicals). Unlike traditional egg-based vaccines, it is produced using Madin-Darby Canine Kidney (MDCK) cell culture technology, which reduces the risk of egg-adaptive mutations and is suitable for individuals with egg allergies. The vaccine contains purified hemagglutinin (HA) proteins (15 µg per strain) from three influenza virus strains, typically including two influenza A subtypes (H1N1 and H3N2) and one influenza B lineage. It is indicated for the prevention of seasonal influenza in various age groups, including infants, children, and adults, and has demonstrated a favorable immunogenicity and safety profile in Phase III clinical trials.
