SLOG + allogeneic NK cell refers to a combination therapy consisting of the chemotherapy regimen SLOG (S-1, leucovorin, oxaliplatin, and gemcitabine) together with an infusion of allogeneic natural killer (NK) cells. In clinical trials such as those using "Allogeneic Magicell-NK," the NK cells are derived from healthy donors and expanded ex vivo before being administered intravenously. The mechanism of action involves cytotoxic activity against tumor cells by both chemotherapeutics and immune-mediated killing via donor-derived NK cells. This combination is being investigated primarily as adjuvant therapy following surgical resection for pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma (PDA) or cholangiocarcinoma[1][3]. The approach aims to enhance anti-tumor efficacy by combining direct cytotoxic effects of chemotherapy with immunotherapy that leverages innate immune responses.
