Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SM (ADAR-related conditions) is an early-stage drug discovery program developed by SoftMining, an Italian biotechnology company that utilizes artificial intelligence for drug design. The program focuses on the development of therapeutics for conditions associated with the dysregulation of Adenosine Deaminase Acting on RNA (ADAR) enzymes. ADAR enzymes are responsible for A-to-I RNA editing, a process that, when aberrant, is linked to rare genetic disorders such as Aicardi-Goutières Syndrome (AGS), as well as various autoimmune diseases and cancers. The program is currently in the early discovery or preclinical phase, aiming to identify small molecule modulators of ADAR activity using SoftMining's computational platform.
