Overview

**SMANCS** (poly(styrene-co-maleic acid)-conjugated neocarzinostatin) is a macromolecular anticancer agent used in combination with **Lipiodol**, a lipid contrast medium, for selective arterial infusion therapy. This formulation is used primarily for treating cancers like hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) and renal cell carcinoma. Lipiodol's properties allow it to selectively accumulate in tumors, enhancing the delivery of the anticancer agent. The combination takes advantage of Lipiodol's radiopacity and tumor-seeking ability for targeted chemotherapy.
