Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tetrisal is an over-the-counter (OTC) nasal spray containing sodium chloride, primarily used for nasal hygiene and the relief of nasal congestion. Distributed by the German company MIP Pharma, it is typically available as an isotonic solution (often branded as Tetrisal 400). The product works by hydrating the nasal mucosa, thinning thick mucus, and facilitating the removal of crusts, allergens, and pathogens. It is indicated for the supportive treatment of the common cold, rhinitis, and hay fever, as well as for moisturizing dry nasal passages caused by environmental factors such as heated or air-conditioned air.
