Sodium chloride + urea is a topical combination therapy used as a moisturizing and keratolytic agent for the treatment of dry and scaly skin conditions, including atopic dermatitis, ichthyosis, and psoriasis. Urea serves as a humectant that increases the water-binding capacity of the stratum corneum and, in higher concentrations, acts as a keratolytic by solubilizing keratin.
