**Sodium fluoride + functionalized tricalcium phosphate** is an investigational low-fluoride anticaries toothpaste developed by Indiana Nanotech for prevention and remineralization of early dental caries and enamel white-spot lesions. The fixed topical formulation contains 500 ppm fluoride supplied as sodium fluoride plus functionalized tricalcium phosphate, a fluoride-compatible calcium phosphate technology designed to release fluoride, calcium, and phosphate at the enamel surface during brushing. This promotes remineralization and formation of more acid-resistant enamel mineral. In an Indiana Nanotech-sponsored in situ clinical study, the formulation was evaluated against a conventional 1,100 ppm fluoride toothpaste. The 500 ppm investigational formulation is distinct from marketed Clinpro Tooth Crème, which uses fTCP but contains approximately 950 ppm fluoride.
