Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Lagricel Ofteno® is a preservative-free ophthalmic solution containing sodium hyaluronate (0.4%), developed by Laboratorios Sophia. It is a high molecular weight viscoelastic polymer that acts as an artificial tear and ocular lubricant. By supplementing the natural tear film, it provides long-lasting lubrication, reduces friction from blinking, and promotes corneal epithelial healing. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of dry eye disease (dry eye syndrome), post-surgical ocular recovery (such as after corneal or cataract surgery), and eye irritation associated with contact lens use.
