Overview
Actisoufre Solution is an over-the-counter (OTC) combination drug developed and marketed by Laboratoires Grimberg. It contains sodium monosulfide (which acts as a source of sulfur) and Saccharomyces cerevisiae yeast extract. The drug is indicated for the treatment of chronic inflammatory conditions of the upper respiratory tract, such as chronic rhinitis and chronic rhinopharyngitis (nasopharyngitis). The sulfur component provides mucolytic, anti-inflammatory, and mild antiseptic properties, while the yeast extract provides vitamins and trace elements that support mucosal healing and local immunity. It is administered locally as a nasal or buccal spray.
