Overview

**FYTON** is an Izotop cold kit containing sodium phytate for in situ preparation of technetium-99m phytate injection with sodium pertechnetate. The resulting technetium-99m-labelled colloidal radiopharmaceutical is administered intravenously for SPECT/gamma-camera imaging of the liver and spleen, including morphological liver assessment and evaluation of benign or malignant liver tumours and treatment monitoring. Hepatic uptake reflects reticuloendothelial-system phagocytic activity rather than a specific molecular receptor interaction.
