Overview
Adyval-300 is a branded generic controlled-release formulation of sodium valproate and valproic acid (equivalent to 300 mg of sodium valproate) marketed by Fealth Life Care. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of epilepsy, manic episodes associated with bipolar disorder, and the prophylaxis of migraine headaches. The combination works by increasing the levels of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) in the brain, which calms overactive nerve cells and stabilizes electrical activity, thereby preventing seizures and mood swings.
