Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination of three direct-acting antiviral agents (DAAs) used for the treatment of hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, particularly genotype 1. This regimen combines three medications with different mechanisms of action: sofosbuvir (NS5B polymerase inhibitor), daclatasvir (NS5A inhibitor), and simeprevir (NS3/4A protease inhibitor). Clinical studies like ACCORDION have shown that 6-8 week regimens of this combination are highly effective for treatment-naive patients with HCV genotype 1 and early-stage liver fibrosis or compensated cirrhosis.
