Drug intelligence / Profile preview
A combination antiviral therapy consisting of sofosbuvir (an HCV NS5B polymerase inhibitor), glecaprevir (an HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor), and pibrentasvir (an HCV NS5A inhibitor). This triple combination is used primarily for treating hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection in patients who have failed previous direct-acting antiviral therapies, including post-liver transplant patients with recurrent HCV infection. The combination targets three different viral proteins simultaneously, providing a high barrier to resistance and effectiveness against multiple HCV genotypes.
