Solifenacin succinate + mirabegron is a fixed-dose combination oral therapy used for the treatment of overactive bladder (OAB) with symptoms such as urge urinary incontinence, urgency, and increased urinary frequency. Solifenacin is a competitive muscarinic receptor antagonist that primarily blocks M3 and M2 receptors in the bladder to reduce involuntary muscle contractions. Mirabegron is a beta-3 adrenergic agonist that relaxes the detrusor smooth muscle during the storage phase of the urinary bladder fill-void cycle by activating beta-3 adrenergic receptors. The combination provides greater efficacy than either agent alone for OAB symptom control[1][2][4][5][6]. Both drugs are small molecules administered orally once daily.
