sovaprevir + ACH-3102 + ribavirin

This combination is an investigational, all-oral, direct-acting antiviral regimen containing **sovaprevir** (a second-generation HCV NS3/4A protease inhibitor), **ACH-3102** (a second-generation pan-genotypic NS5A inhibitor), and **ribavirin** (a nucleoside analogue with broad antiviral activity). The regimen was developed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection, targeting genotype 1 in particular. Sovaprevir inhibits the HCV NS3/4A protease required for viral replication, while ACH-3102 inhibits the NS5A protein, essential for viral RNA replication and virion assembly. Ribavirin exerts a nonspecific antiviral effect and is often used to enhance the activity of direct-acting antiviral agents. Clinical trials have shown significant reductions in HCV viral load and promising sustained virologic response rates, supporting further investigation as a potential interferon-free therapy for HCV.
