Drug intelligence / Profile preview
**STP206** is an investigational orally administered live biotherapeutic product developed by Leadiant Biosciences for prevention of necrotizing enterocolitis in premature very-low-birth-weight and extremely-low-birth-weight neonates. It is a two-strain microbial product involving STP6 and STP11, designed to replace or restore protective intestinal bacterial populations and thereby reduce the risk of intestinal dysbiosis-associated NEC. The registered neonatal study, STP206-002, was a completed randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled Phase Ib dose-escalation trial.
