Overview

This is a **combination therapy** consisting of sugemalimab (a monoclonal anti-PD-L1 antibody), pegaspargase (a pegylated L-asparaginase enzyme), gemcitabine (a nucleoside analog antineoplastic agent), and oxaliplatin (a platinum-based chemotherapy). - **Sugemalimab** blocks PD-L1, enhancing immune responses against tumor cells. - **Pegaspargase** depletes asparagine in plasma, selectively killing leukemic cells with low asparagine synthetase expression[1][3][5]. - **Gemcitabine** is incorporated into DNA, halting DNA synthesis and promoting apoptosis in proliferating tumor cells[2][4]. - **Oxaliplatin** forms DNA crosslinks and inhibits DNA replication and transcription, leading to cell death[2][4]. This type of regimen may be used in hematologic malignancies such as extranodal NK/T-cell lymphoma (ENKL) or aggressive NK-cell leukemia (ANKL) in settings where multi-agent chemotherapies are indicated[1].
