SUICIDE + immunogene therapy refers to a combination approach in cancer treatment that merges "suicide gene therapy" with "immunogene therapy." Suicide gene therapy involves introducing genes into tumor cells that encode enzymes capable of converting non-toxic prodrugs into toxic compounds, selectively killing the modified cancer cells. Immunogene therapy uses genetic modification to enhance the immune system's ability to recognize and attack tumor cells, often by increasing the expression of immune-stimulatory molecules or tumor antigens. The combined modality aims both to directly kill cancer cells (via suicide gene activation) and stimulate a robust anti-tumor immune response (via immunogenic cell death and/or enhanced antigen presentation). This strategy is experimental and primarily investigated in preclinical models or early-phase clinical trials for various cancers[6].
