Overview

Sunvozertinib (DZD9008) is an oral, small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that selectively targets mutant forms of the epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), including EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations and HER2 mutations. It is being developed primarily for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) with these genetic alterations. Bevacizumab is a recombinant humanized monoclonal antibody that binds to and neutralizes vascular endothelial growth factor A (VEGF-A), thereby inhibiting angiogenesis and tumor vascularization. Bevacizumab is approved for use in multiple cancers, including colorectal cancer, NSCLC, glioblastoma, renal cell carcinoma, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer, fallopian tube cancer, peritoneal cancer, and hepatocellular carcinoma. The combination of sunvozertinib and bevacizumab is under clinical investigation for advanced or metastatic NSCLC harboring EGFR exon 20 insertion mutations[4][6][7][8].
