This is a combination regimen consisting of three drugs: surufatinib, etoposide, and cisplatin. Surufatinib is an oral small molecule tyrosine kinase inhibitor that targets vascular endothelial growth factor receptors 1–3 (VEGFR1–3), fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 (FGFR1), and colony-stimulating factor 1 receptor (CSF1R). It exerts antiangiogenic and immunomodulatory effects. Etoposide is a topoisomerase II inhibitor that induces DNA strand breaks, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cells. Cisplatin is a platinum-based chemotherapeutic agent that forms DNA crosslinks, inhibiting DNA synthesis and function. The combination of these agents has been investigated as part of first-line therapy for advanced small cell lung cancer (SCLC) due to their complementary mechanisms—targeting tumor angiogenesis, immune microenvironment modulation, and direct cytotoxicity[1][6][8]. This specific three-drug regimen does not have a unique brand or code name as a fixed-dose product.
