Overview

Suvratoxumab + oseltamivir is a combination of two pharmaceuticals: suvratoxumab, a fully human monoclonal IgG1 antibody that targets and neutralizes Staphylococcus aureus alpha-toxin, and oseltamivir, an oral antiviral small molecule that acts as a neuraminidase inhibitor to block the release of influenza virus particles. Suvratoxumab is in clinical development primarily for the prevention of Staphylococcus aureus pneumonia, particularly ventilator-associated pneumonia, in ICU patients colonized by S. aureus[1][4]. Oseltamivir is approved for the treatment and prevention of influenza A and B infections and is widely recommended in clinical guidelines, showing efficacy in reducing mortality and length of hospital stay in influenza-infected patients[2]. This combination is not known to be approved as a fixed pharmaceutical product, and no published studies were found evaluating the fixed combination of these two agents; thus, any use would involve co-administration of the separate drugs.
