Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SV001 is a humanized monoclonal antibody targeting Platelet Endothelial Aggregation Receptor 1 (PEAR1), currently under development by Shanghai Synvida Biotechnology for the treatment of idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis (IPF). PEAR1 is a transmembrane protein identified as a key regulator of fibroblast activation and the deposition of extracellular matrix (ECM) in lung tissue. By antagonizing PEAR1, SV001 aims to inhibit the fibrotic processes that lead to lung scarring and functional decline in patients with IPF. The drug is currently undergoing Phase IIa clinical evaluation to assess its safety, tolerability, pharmacokinetics, and immunogenicity.
