Swine flu vaccine is a peptide-based vaccine candidate developed by Youfeng Biotechnology for the prevention of H1N1 influenza (swine flu). The vaccine utilizes the proprietary Ii-Key peptide technology, which involves linking an antigenic epitope from the H1N1 virus to a specific four-amino acid sequence (the Ii-Key). This modification allows the peptide to bypass traditional intracellular processing and bind directly to the MHC class II molecules on the surface of antigen-presenting cells. This mechanism is designed to significantly enhance the potency of the T-helper cell response and overall immunogenicity compared to standard peptide vaccines. The candidate has completed Phase 1 clinical testing.
