SX-682 + pembrolizumab is a combination therapy under clinical investigation for cancer treatment, particularly in metastatic melanoma and non-small cell lung cancer. SX-682 is an oral small-molecule inhibitor of the chemokine receptors CXCR1 and CXCR2, designed to block recruitment of pro-tumoral myeloid-derived suppressor cells (MDSCs) and thereby enhance anti-tumor immunity. Pembrolizumab (Keytruda) is a monoclonal antibody immune checkpoint inhibitor targeting the PD-1 receptor on T cells, thereby activating immune responses against tumor cells. The combination is being studied to determine whether CXCR1/2 inhibition (by SX-682) can improve the clinical efficacy of PD-1 inhibition (by pembrolizumab) by overcoming immunosuppression within the tumor microenvironment[1][3][4][5][6][7].
