Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SygeLIX-F and SygeLIX-G are biological products derived from Wharton's jelly, a gelatinous substance found within the umbilical cord that is rich in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) and extracellular matrix components. Developed by TBF Genie Tissulaire, this combination therapy is specifically designed for the treatment of complex or surgical-resistant ano-perineal (anal) fistulas. The treatment protocol involves inserting the SygeLIX-F plug into the internal orifice of the fistula while simultaneously filling the fistula tract and cryptoglandular space with the SygeLIX-G gel. This dual approach provides a biological scaffold that promotes tissue regeneration and healing, leveraging the natural properties of Wharton's jelly to achieve closure of the fistula tract in patients who have failed standard surgical interventions.
