SYL3C + indocyanine green (SYL3C-ICG) is an aptamer-conjugated near-infrared II (NIR-II) fluorescence imaging probe developed for the intraoperative visualization of tumor margins during breast cancer surgery. The compound consists of the DNA aptamer SYL3C, which specifically targets the Epithelial Cell Adhesion Molecule (EpCAM) overexpressed on cancer cells, conjugated with PEGylated indocyanine green (PEG-ICG). As a diagnostic imaging agent, it utilizes the NIR-II window (1000–1700 nm) to provide superior imaging resolution and deeper tissue penetration compared to traditional NIR-I imaging. This targeted molecular probe is designed to assist surgeons in identifying residual malignant lesions in real-time during surgical resection, potentially reducing postoperative recurrence rates.
