Drug intelligence / Profile preview
SYM021 + SYM022 is a combination of two investigational monoclonal antibodies, SYM021 (an anti-PD-1 antibody) and SYM022 (an anti-LAG-3 antibody), designed to enhance antitumor immune responses by simultaneously blocking the PD-1 and LAG-3 immune checkpoints. Both antibodies are IgG proteins engineered to reduce immune resistance in advanced solid tumors or lymphomas by activating T cell-mediated immune responses. The combination has been evaluated in early-phase clinical trials for its safety, tolerability, and preliminary efficacy primarily in solid tumors such as biliary tract carcinoma and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma. The drugs are intravenously administered and are developed by Symphogen[1][2][5].
