Overview

Synergo RITE + mitomycin C is a combination medical treatment and device system for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer (NMIBC). The therapy uses the Synergo system to deliver **radiofrequency-induced thermo-chemotherapy** (RITE), heating the superficial layers of the bladder wall via controlled radiofrequency radiation (915 MHz) while simultaneously circulating a solution of **mitomycin C** (MMC), a cytotoxic chemotherapeutic agent, throughout the bladder. The aim is to enhance the local efficacy of MMC by thermal sensitization, reduce tumor recurrence, and delay progression to invasive bladder cancer, especially in patients unresponsive to or unable to receive Bacillus Calmette-Guerin (BCG) therapy. The combination is administered intravesically (directly into the bladder via catheter), and clinical studies indicate improved disease-free survival compared to standard MMC alone in some contexts[1][2][5].
