Drug intelligence / Profile preview
T1 + T2 + T3 is a combination of three thyroid hormones. T1 and T2 are hormone precursors and byproducts of thyroid hormone synthesis that do not act on the thyroid hormone receptor and appear to be inert. T3 (triiodothyronine) is the active form of thyroid hormone that directly affects metabolism. This combination is found in natural desiccated thyroid medications along with T4. T3 is the biologically active thyroid hormone that enters cells from the bloodstream and increases metabolism, while T1 and T2 may have other physiological roles. T2 specifically may have benefits for mitochondrial and ovarian health in women with hypothyroidism.
