Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tamgiblimab (IBI939) plus sintilimab is a combination of two monoclonal antibodies developed for cancer immunotherapy. Tamgiblimab is a fully human anti-TIGIT monoclonal antibody that targets the T-cell immunoreceptor with Ig and ITIM domains (TIGIT), an immune checkpoint involved in tumor immune evasion. Sintilimab is a fully human anti-PD-1 monoclonal antibody that blocks the programmed cell death protein 1 (PD‑1) pathway, enhancing T-cell mediated antitumor responses. The combination aims to improve efficacy by dual blockade of TIGIT and PD‑1 pathways, particularly in patients with advanced or metastatic non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) whose tumors express high levels of PD-L1. Both drugs are being developed by Innovent Biologics, with Eli Lilly also involved in the development of sintilimab[2][3][4][5][6][7][8].
