Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tangor Women's Decoction Ointment, known in Chinese as Dan'e Fukan Jiangao, is a traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) herbal formulation originating from Yi medicine. It is primarily indicated for the treatment of various gynecological conditions, including endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, irregular menstruation, adenomyosis, and infertility. The formulation is designed to activate blood circulation, resolve blood stasis, soothe the liver, regulate qi, relieve pain, and soften hard masses. Modern pharmacological studies suggest it possesses analgesic, anti-inflammatory, hemorheology-modifying, endocrine-regulating, and anti-tumor cell growth and metastasis inhibiting properties. It holds the distinction of being the first pure traditional Chinese medicine preparation approved in China for endometriosis.
