The combination’s mechanism is intended to synergistically suppress angiogenesis and key inflammatory signaling in wet AMD, which is characterized by abnormal blood vessel growth in the retina leading to vision loss[1][3][17]. The combination is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials (DAYBREAK trial) as a potentially novel approach to more effective wet AMD management[3][4][13][15][17][20].
