Overview

Tazarotene + clindamycin is a combination therapy used for the treatment of acne vulgaris. Tazarotene is an acetylenic retinoid that normalizes keratinocyte differentiation and has anti-inflammatory properties. Clindamycin is a topical antibiotic that works by killing bacteria that cause acne and reducing inflammation. When used together, these medications provide complementary mechanisms of action that enhance efficacy against both inflammatory and non-inflammatory acne lesions. Clinical studies have shown that this combination offers significantly greater efficacy than other retinoid-antibiotic combinations such as tretinoin + clindamycin or adapalene + clindamycin.
