Overview
TCbHP + ddEC-THP is a combination chemotherapy and targeted therapy regimen used for the treatment of HER2-positive breast cancer. The regimen consists of two parts: 1. TCbHP: Docetaxel (Taxotere), Carboplatin, Trastuzumab (Herceptin), and Pertuzumab (Perjeta) 2. ddEC-THP: dose-dense Epirubicin and Cyclophosphamide, followed by Taxol (Paclitaxel), Herceptin (Trastuzumab), and Pertuzumab This combination is typically used as neoadjuvant therapy (before surgery) for high-risk early or locally advanced HER2-positive breast cancer. The targeted therapy components (trastuzumab and pertuzumab) work by blocking HER2 proteins on cancer cells, preventing signals that cause cancer cells to multiply and alerting the immune system to kill them. The chemotherapy components (docetaxel, carboplatin, epirubicin, cyclophosphamide, and paclitaxel) work by damaging cancer cells and preventing them from growing and dividing.
