Drug intelligence / Profile preview
AT-05 (technetium (99mTc) evuzamitide) is an investigational single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) radiotracer designed for the non-invasive diagnosis of systemic amyloidosis, particularly cardiac amyloidosis. It consists of a synthetic, polybasic 45-amino-acid pan-amyloid-reactive peptide (p5+14) labeled with the radionuclide technetium-99m. Unlike traditional bone-seeking tracers like technetium-99m pyrophosphate (99mTc-PYP), which selectively detect transthyretin amyloidosis (ATTR), AT-05 binds to hypersulfated heparan sulfate proteoglycans and amyloid fibrils across multiple precursor protein types, enabling the detection of both ATTR and light-chain (AL) amyloidosis. Originally developed by Attralus and the University of Tennessee, the imaging agent was acquired by Bayer in January 2026 and is currently in Phase I clinical development.
