Tegoprazan + amoxicillin is a fixed-dose combination therapy consisting of tegoprazan, a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB), and amoxicillin, a broad-spectrum beta-lactam antibiotic. This dual therapy is primarily investigated and used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori infection. Tegoprazan works by inhibiting gastric acid secretion through reversible inhibition of the H+/K+-ATPase enzyme in gastric parietal cells, thereby increasing intragastric pH to enhance the efficacy of antibiotics against H. pylori. Amoxicillin exerts its antibacterial effect by inhibiting bacterial cell wall synthesis via binding to penicillin-binding proteins.
