Overview

AD-106 is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) drug candidate developed by Addpharma, a subsidiary of Yuhan Corporation, for the treatment of gastrointestinal disorders, specifically targeting *Helicobacter pylori* eradication and gastric ulcers. The formulation combines **tegoprazan**, a potassium-competitive acid blocker (P-CAB), with **bismuth potassium citrate**. Tegoprazan provides rapid and sustained suppression of gastric acid secretion by reversibly inhibiting the gastric H+/K+-ATPase enzyme in a potassium-competitive manner, offering advantages over traditional proton pump inhibitors (PPIs) such as faster onset and meal-independent dosing. Bismuth potassium citrate acts as a mucosal protective agent and exerts direct antimicrobial activity against *H. pylori*. This combination is designed to simplify treatment regimens and improve the success rate of eradication therapy. AD-106 is currently in Phase 1 clinical development.
