Drug intelligence / Profile preview
DWJ1578 is a fixed-dose combination (FDC) therapy developed by Daewoong Pharmaceutical for the treatment of patients with both hypertension and dyslipidemia. It consists of three active pharmaceutical ingredients: telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB); amlodipine, a calcium channel blocker (CCB); and atorvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). This triple combination aims to improve patient compliance by reducing the pill burden for individuals requiring management of both blood pressure and cholesterol levels. The drug is formulated as a solid dosage form for oral administration and is currently in Phase 3 clinical trials in South Korea.
