This is a fixed-dose combination drug containing **telmisartan**, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB), and **chlorthalidone**, a thiazide-like diuretic. **Telmisartan** works by selectively blocking the binding of angiotensin II to the AT1 receptor, resulting in vasodilation and reduced blood pressure. **Chlorthalidone** increases urinary excretion of sodium and chloride, leading to decreased fluid volume and blood pressure.
