Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Telmitrend-S (CKD-330) is a triple-combination small molecule drug developed by Chong Kun Dang Pharmaceutical for the management of patients with both essential hypertension and hyperlipidemia. It consists of telmisartan, an angiotensin II receptor blocker (ARB); levamlodipine (the S-enantiomer of amlodipine), a calcium channel blocker (CCB); and atorvastatin, an HMG-CoA reductase inhibitor (statin). This fixed-dose combination is designed to simplify complex treatment regimens for patients with multiple cardiovascular risk factors, thereby improving medication adherence. The drug was approved in South Korea in 2020 following clinical trials demonstrating its efficacy and safety compared to dual-combination or monotherapy components.
