Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Temsirolimus + vinorelbine is a combination therapy consisting of temsirolimus, an mTOR inhibitor, and vinorelbine, a vinca alkaloid chemotherapeutic agent. Temsirolimus works by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth, specifically targeting the mTOR pathway. Vinorelbine disrupts microtubule assembly, preventing cell division. This combination has shown synergistic effects in clinical trials and has been studied particularly for the treatment of recurrent or refractory rhabdomyosarcoma.
