Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tetanus toxoid, adsorbed is a toxoid vaccine developed by Keymen İlaç Sanayi ve Ticaret for the prevention of tetanus. It contains the formaldehyde-inactivated toxin (toxoid) of *Clostridium tetani* adsorbed onto an aluminum hydroxide adjuvant to enhance the immune response. The vaccine works by inducing the production of specific neutralizing antibodies (antitoxins) that protect the individual against the effects of the tetanus toxin. It is approved for active immunization against tetanus in both children and adults and is typically administered via intramuscular injection.
