Drug intelligence / Profile preview
The Adsorbed Td Vaccine from Bio Farma is a booster vaccine containing tetanus toxoid and diphtheria toxoid as active ingredients. Developed and manufactured by Bio Farma, an Indonesian state-owned pharmaceutical company, this vaccine is indicated for booster immunization against tetanus and diphtheria infections in individuals aged 7 years and older. As a toxoid-based biologic, it works by inducing active immunity through the production of antibodies against the toxins produced by *Clostridium tetani* and *Corynebacterium diphtheriae*. The formulation contains a reduced dose of diphtheria toxoid compared to pediatric DTP vaccines, making it suitable for older children and adults to minimize local reactions. It is typically administered as a single 0.5 ml intramuscular injection.
