Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Tetanus Vaccine (Adsorbed) is a monovalent vaccine candidate developed by Walvax Biotechnology for active immunization against tetanus. The vaccine is formulated using tetanus toxoid, which is adsorbed onto an aluminum-based adjuvant to enhance its immunogenicity. It works by stimulating the immune system to produce protective neutralizing antibodies against the tetanus toxin produced by *Clostridium tetani*. This standalone product is distinct from Walvax's multi-component vaccines (such as DTaP) and is currently in Phase 2 clinical development.
