Drug intelligence / Profile preview
TM-MHa paste is a topical combination therapy developed by Concordia Dent Srl for the treatment of moderate chronic periodontitis. The formulation consists of a complex matrix containing two antimicrobial agents, tetracycline (3%) and metronidazole (3%), alongside melatonin and hyaluronic acid. It is designed to be administered locally into the periodontal pocket as an adjunct to scaling and root planing (SRP). The antibiotics provide broad-spectrum coverage against periodontal pathogens, while melatonin and hyaluronic acid are included to modulate the local inflammatory response, promote tissue regeneration, and improve alveolar bone support. This multi-component approach aims to enhance clinical outcomes such as attachment level (AL) compared to standard antimicrobial treatments.
