tetrahydrocannabinol + cannabidiol

This investigational cannabis oil preparation, developed by the Faculty of Pharmaceutical and Science at Khon Kaen University, is a combination of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) in an approximately 1:1 ratio (27 mg THC and 30 mg CBD per mL). Extracted from the stems, leaves, and flowers of *Cannabis sativa*, the formulation is administered sublingually as an oral solution. It is currently being evaluated in a Phase 3 clinical trial (NCT05416697) for the management of systemic sclerosis-related symptoms, including anorexia, malnutrition, arthralgia (joint pain), and sleep disorders. The active cannabinoids exert their effects by interacting with the endocannabinoid system, primarily acting as agonists at the CB1 and CB2 receptors to modulate appetite, pain perception, and sleep quality.
