Overview
TheraCour Cell Therapy (Parkinson's) is a preclinical cell replacement therapy being developed by AllExcel for the treatment of Parkinson's disease. The therapy involves the transplantation of factory-manufactured, HLA-matched dopaminergic cells designed to replace the substantia nigra neurons lost during the progression of the disease. To enhance cell survival and protect against host immune responses, the cells are encapsulated in AllExcel's proprietary TheraCour gel, a micelle-forming, self-assembling polymeric material. This approach aims to provide a curative treatment by restoring dopamine production in the brain while minimizing the need for immunosuppression.
