Drug intelligence / Profile preview
Theraworx is a topical antimicrobial skin cleanser and protectant specifically developed for the decolonization of methicillin-resistant *Staphylococcus aureus* (MRSA). Developed by Avadim Health (formerly Avadim Technologies) in partnership with St. John's Medical Research Institute and Mercy Research, it is an alcohol-free, all-natural solution designed to eliminate pathogens from skin and mucosal surfaces, including the nasal passages. The product is formulated as a waterless bathing system and is available in formats such as pre-moistened cloths and intranasal swabs. In clinical settings, it has been evaluated as an alternative to traditional antibiotic ointments like mupirocin for reducing MRSA carriage in colonized patients, demonstrating high efficacy (>99.99%) against multiple organisms.
