Overview

Thiotepa + fexofilgrastim is a combination of two pharmaceutical agents used in oncology and hematology settings. Thiotepa is an alkylating agent that crosslinks DNA, leading to inhibition of DNA replication and cell death, primarily used for conditioning prior to bone marrow transplantation and for treating certain cancers such as breast, ovarian, and bladder cancer[3]. Fexofilgrastim is a long-acting granulocyte colony-stimulating factor (G-CSF) analog designed to stimulate the production of neutrophils by acting on the G-CSF receptor; it is typically used to reduce the duration of neutropenia following chemotherapy. The combination may be considered in regimens where myelosuppression from thiotepa necessitates supportive care with a G-CSF analog like fexofilgrastim.
