Overview

A high-dose chemotherapy combination regimen used primarily as conditioning treatment before autologous or allogeneic hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (HSCT). This combination is particularly valuable for pediatric solid tumors (including CNS tumors) and hematological malignancies. Thiotepa can cross the blood-brain barrier, making it effective for CNS penetration, while melphalan provides additional alkylating activity. The combination is administered intravenously, typically in cycles with specific dosing schedules to maximize efficacy while managing toxicity.
